POWER OF KNEEVOIVE

The power of

Kneevoice

Kneevoice will aim to provide a solution for diagnosing knee cartilage damage that’s unlike anything on the market. Our innovative platform has the potential to change the industry by providing a solution that could save time, money and the healthy knee cartilage of patients.

EARLY

DIAGNOSIS

Early diagnosis is critical in preventing the onset and progression of kneecap cartilage damage. By the time a patient has anterior knee pain, they may already be experiencing severe damage that could require medical or surgical intervention. With Kneevoice, providers will be able to assess the condition of the knee with the goal of preventing further damage.

Accurate

Reporting

Precise and dynamic diagnosis of knee cartilage damage may be difficult to obtain when using X-rays, CT scans or MRI. Kneevoice uses a non-invasive, pain-free device to give an easy-to-read report of cartilage damage that can be used to diagnose patients with accuracy.

QUICK,

SIMPLE ASSESSMENT

The analysis of Patellofemoral osteoarthritis (PFOA) data is usually done by specialists, not by the treating physician, which can lead to interpretation issues and delayed diagnosis. Kneevoice’s objective is to simplify this process by giving the physician the opportunity to personally assess the cartilage damage score directly in the office or practice, and repeat it on every medical visit.

COST-EFFECTIVE

MONITORING

Kneevoice is being designed to provide a low cost solution for monitoring knee cartilage damage — providing accurate, dynamic assessment in one cost-effective solution.

Optimization of knee replacement

90% of patients with knee osteoarthritis wait too long to get a replacement. And, 25% of patients get a replacement too soon when the benefit is minimal. The goal of Kneevoice is to give providers the quantitative diagnostics that may allow them to optimize the timing and overall success of knee replacement procedures.

OUR HISTORY

Our

history

Dr. Leal had a hypothesis: the sound and vibration emitted by the patellofemoral joint has a direct correlation with the condition of this specific joint cartilage.

2015

2016

Kneevoice Inc. was created by a group of experienced knee surgeons and software developers who combined their unique knowledge of the inner workings and biomechanics of the knee, sound and vibration capturing, artificial intelligence and neural networks for sound filtering.
Development of proof of concept prototypes began. We listened to more than 3,200 knees, captured the sound the joint made, and developed a software and algorithm that created a Kneevoice score representing the cartilage status.

2016 - 2017

2018 - 2019

Commercial prototype development began, and intellectual property and patents were applied and granted.
We began a financial round for commercial production of Kneevoice. A contract with design and manufacturing was created. Product launch is expected for 2022.
